Solid waste is placed into composting bins and wastewater ends up to a constructed wetland that uses vegetation, soil and organisms in order to treat wastewater. At the courtyard or in the farmhouse you can rest and taste our products and if you like, you can learn some traditional cooking processes.

Farm facilities includes tables and chairs for visitors, parking spaces, free WiFi and 3 WC that can also serve people with disabilities.

The Farm

As you enjoy your walk around the farm, which covers an area of over 50 acres, you will be walking among orange and olive trees, pomegranate bushes, mulberries and fruit trees, herbs and wildflowers. You will definitely come across some colorful roosters with their hens and a lot of over – protective brood hens surrounded by chicks. You will also meet a ‘community’ of geese and a small group of chatty turkeys. Frixos, the redhead, proud, Shetland pony, will surely convince you to treat him with a juicy carrot. A happy group of dogs and cats will follow you around hoping for hugs and petting. If you are lucky and observant you may see or hear frogs, hedgehogs, blackbirds, hoopoes and the rare, smallest falcon, Kirkinezi falcon (F. naumanni).

Close to us

Walking or biking to the nearby pine-covered beaches is easy for everyone, as the area is flat and the roads are accessible. There is also the possibility of carriage ride, after the necessary communication with our horsemen neighbors who can provide it. Within a short distance (~ 2 km) you will find two large sandy beaches, within the Delta Pinios – Dunes Forest (Natura 2000) protected area that is a natural wetland of great ecological significance. Pinios river springs from Erymanthos mountain, crosses for about 80 kilometers the fertile land of Ilia and flows out into the Delta. The area reveals a harmonic blend of cultivated fields, dunes and pine forest that stretches until the sandy beaches and the Ionian sea. Forest and river banks provide a permanent shelter for many birds and small animals. Hoopoes, wagtails, finches, redbirds, blackbirds, small reptiles and insects, foxes, ferrets, hedgehogs, hares, rare frog species, even jackals and otters have been recorded on its banks. Amaryllis, aromatic sea thyme (throumbi), wickers, willows and wildflowers complete the landscape beautifully.

Some Information About Us…

The farm is located near the village of Paleochori (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palaiochori,_Elis), in the middle of Ilia’s plain. Vegetables, watermelons, oranges, olives, fodder and industrial tomatoes are intensively grown all over the area. The farm is cultivated for over a century, starting with the Corinthian currants, also known as the ‘golden gold’ of our region. Nowadays, orange and olives trees are mainly cultivated combined with free range poultry.

In 2012 Zafira Kordopathi (farmer and housewife) took over the farm. By opening up new horizons and by mixing tradition with innovation and environmental sensitiveness, the farm became a visiting, multifunctional farm with the necessary facilities. In order to share her experience with people who live here or visit the area, she decided to open the doors of our farm to everyone who wants to participate in farming and discover a more natural way of life or just wants to taste and obtain our products directly. Contact with nature and animals and getting familiar with farming methods offer relaxation and a way out of the modern, suffocating lifestyle.
In all our efforts friends and relatives stood beside us and that’s why we owe them a huge thank you!
An important aid as a financing tool was also the Rural Development Program of our country through the LEADER LOCAL PROGRAM OF ILIA PERFECTURE 2007-2015
